What it is
Migration is a reading problem first.
Legacy work is rarely hard because the new stack is hard. It's hard because the behavior you have to preserve was never written down, and the people who understood it have left. Before anyone can write a line of the replacement, someone has to read decades of accumulated exceptions and work out which of them still matter.
Reading at that volume is what agents are good at. We put a small team of forward-deployed engineers on the migration and let agents map the flows, the branch logic and the edge cases into something a human can review and argue with. Then parity becomes the deliverable: the new path has to produce the same result as the old one, on your own historical data, before anything is switched over.
What happens
Three things, in this order.
Map
Agents trace the existing behavior end to end and write it down - every flow, every exception, every rule buried in a stored procedure.
Port
Engineers rebuild on the target stack with that map as the specification and your own history as the test set.
Prove
Old and new run side by side until the outputs agree. The certification or sign-off gate sets the cutover date, not the plan.
